I created Safe Passage to become an advocate for natural birth in my community. In the birth room, I am your coach, encouraging you to maintain movement and guiding your partner towards you. I want you to feel competent, full of knowing of the process that is taking place within your body.

The name "Safe Passage" is very important to me. I chose it because as a woman and a mother, I think of myself as a guide for other women during times of transition, of which there are many: puberty & menarche, birth & motherhood, and menopause. I ensure you that you will move safely and courageously through one stage and to the next.

I am a Madriella certified doula, and I am currently studying under Sarah Bly at The Well School of Body Literacy and am looking forward to teaching the rules of contraception and conception as a fully certified Fertility Awareness Educator (FAE) in the near future. I am currently an associate member of FACTS About Fertility. I have personally been charting my own body's fertility signs for the last 9 years with immense satisfaction, and am overjoyed to be sharing this practical knowledge with others. In the meantime, I am a passionate puberty and menstrual cycle educator in my community, for both teens and adults.

In my free time, I'm in my kitchen. I am always baking bagels, loaves of bread, and muffins for my friends and family. As a former personal chef, I take pride in what I create in my kitchen and absolutely love to host dinner parties. I really enjoy eating seasonally and have to thank our local farmer's market vendors for all of the hard work they do to grow our food. I am active in my community and probably know every employee by name at our local grocer, Sprouts Market, from my days as a chef. I'm always in our local library and am a huge fan of their events. I also love to travel and have called home to Beijing, Puerto Rico, France, and Chicago.
